Printer Locations

Printer Locations are logical names (e.g., “Hot Printer,” “Cold Printer,” “Bar Printer”) that link to physical printer hardware. This is what gets associated with menu items.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Printing > Printer Locations
  2. Click Add Printer Location and give it a name (e.g., “Hot Printer”)
  3. Click Add Printer and select the physical device to link
  4. Save. Then go to Menu > Items, select an item, and under Printer Locations, associate the appropriate location.

Note: Even if a printer is labeled “Bar Printer” under the “Kitchen” device type, this simply means it’s a remote printer (not a receipt printer). The naming distinguishes where orders are sent versus where customer receipts print.
